Ráices Latinas Program hosts Chandler School of Theology professor Dr. Jonathan Calvillo

On Wednesday, September 25, the Boston University School of Theology Raíces Latinas Program on Theology, Leadership, and Research and the Center for Global Christianity hosted Dr. Jonathan Calvillo, assistant professor of Latinx Communities at Emory University’s Chandler School of Theology. Ahead of the release of his new book, When the Spirit Is Your Inheritance: Reflections on Borderlands Pentecostalism published by Fortress Press, Dr. Calvillo spoke to about twenty students about testimonios and the power of storytelling in Latino Pentecostalism. He shared his own experiences growing up in the tradition, and shared insights into writing this autoethnographic.

When the Spirit Is Your Inheritance will be available on November 12, 2024.
